General Meeting, Social 9:30am, Meeting 10:00am

The January 19 General Meeting speaker will be Kim England, owner of Fleurs du Soleil in Monterey. Kim graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BA in history and the intention of studying law, but she decided to pursue her long-standing passion for floral design. After graduating from college and spending a year in Paris, Kim offered to arrange the flowers for her sister’s wedding and her floral adventure was launched.
Kim was an apprentice floral designer in the south of France, where she studied style and technique. Then she returned to the US and opened her own flower workshop. Her business is now thriving and she is widely known as one of the most prominent floral designers in our area. Kim will show us how to create several beautiful arrangements. We will be meeting at Carpenter Hall – 9:30 am social and 10:00 am meeting followed by Kim’s presentation.
